Strategic Objectives and Key Measurement Factors

1.         Service Delivery (Individualized Supports)

objective:    Each individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) whom we support will receive individualized service and supports to enhance their quality of life by the use of a consistent process based upon soundly researched best practices including person centered planning with measurable outcomes and accountability.

key measurement factors:

·         Regular reports showing that person centered plans are in place, when, and as appropriate

·         Continuous improvements in results/trends in regular outcome based performance measure reports, where, and as appropriate

·         Improvement in regular reports of trends of relevant incidents

·         Record of improvement in individualized living situations, where appropriate

·         Record of increased individualized day and employment supports

·         Positive results in regular satisfaction surveys

 

2.      Service Delivery (Community Supports)

objective:     We will continue to make use of every reasonable opportunity to expand and improve upon community supports for crisis prevention and intervention.

key measurement factors:

·         Case reports on crises prevented or resolved

·         Results of consumer surveys

·         Record of Increased respite support

·         Record of increased consultation

·         Evidence from Specialized Network Program Evaluation Sources

·         Evidence of effective collaboration across sectors

 

3.      Centre of Expertise

objective:     We will increase our efforts to develop as a centre of expertise consistent with our mission, vision and values.

 key measurement factors:

·         Record of positive increase in outcome based performance measures

·         Development of a visible contribution to the body of knowledge in the field

·         Reports of increased training and development of staff competencies

·         Documentation of meeting or exceeding government standards in such areas as compliance reviews

·         Record of increased requests for consultation from individuals, families agencies, professional, and governmental sources

·         Record of increased requests to play leadership roles in developing creative supports/treatments for individuals with ASD

 

 4.         Resource Development 

objective:     We will extend and broaden our funding base to support the achievement of our vision, mission and strategic objectives.

key measurement factors:

·         Record of increased MCSS funding

·         Record of increased fee for service revenues

·         Record of increased revenues from fundraising and foundation grants

 

 5.      Profile

objective:     We will raise the profile of Kerry’s Place Autism services in all regions.

key measurement factors:

·         Record of Associations/Agencies that seek alliances with Kerry’s Place Autism Services

·         Public recognition of success in the media, and other venues

·         Record of KPAS being approached as an authoritative source for consultation, by other agencies, the government authorities and professionals

·         Enhanced public profile determined by biannual survey

·         Record of increased membership

 

 6.      Advocacy

 objective:     We will work with other agencies, governments and individuals to ensure that individuals with
                        ASD have effective support structures and enjoy full rights as respected citizens in their
                         communities.

key measurement factors:

·         By increased involvement of persons with ASD as consultants, advisors, and members

·         By achieving increasingly positive trends in “rights review reports”

·         By increased collaboration with others specializing in ASD to develop and foster a common message in the media and with the public

·         By having a more balanced perspective on ASD adopted by the government, agencies within MCSS,  MCYS, Education, and Health and the public

 

7.      Membership

Objective:     We will encourage the participation of an active and involved membership.

key measurement factors:

·         Record of increased involvement in fundraising

·         Record of increased numbers of membership  

·         Record of increased involvement at the Annual Meeting

·         Record of increased attendance at meetings/workshops

Objective:     Financial stability will be maintained through sustainable program development
and accountability.

key measurement factors:

·         Record of balanced operating budgets

·         Record of sustainable program development

·         Consistent record of accountability for program outcomes/funds maintained

The Community Crisis Response Network supports persons in crisis whose needs require immediate response from a range of service providers. Connected by formal working partnerships, the Network responds to an immediate crisis and ensures the appropriate linkages for a longer-term solution.
